Shooting Range Terms and Conditions of Use
Hunters Target Sports

1. General Rules
1.1. All users must comply with the instructions of the Range Conducting Officer (RCO) at all times.
1.2. Shooters must attend a safety briefing before using the range for the first time or as required by staff.
1.3. Only firearms approved by the range and within the caliber restriction (maximum .23) are permitted.
1.4. Non-members must provide valid photo ID and sign a Section 21 Declaration before accessing the range.
1.5. Intoxication of any kind (alcohol, drugs, or prescription medication impairing judgment) is strictly prohibited.
2. Range Safety
2.1. Firearms must be unloaded and flagged (with a chamber flag) when not in use or moving between the armory and range.
2.2. Always point firearms downrange and handle them responsibly.
2.3. Eye and ear protection must be worn at all times when on the range.
2.4. Shooters may only load ammunition at their designated shooting station and only when ready to fire.
2.5. No rapid or uncontrolled firing is allowed unless authorized by the RCO.
3. Supervision and Conduct
3.1. Probationary members and non-members must be supervised by a certified RCO or qualified supervisor.
3.2. Horseplay, aggressive behavior, or any unsafe actions are strictly forbidden.
3.3. Shooters must adhere to their allocated time slot and lane assignment.
4. Equipment and Firearms
4.1. Personal firearms must comply with UK legal requirements and range rules.
4.2. Firearms must be clean, maintained, and suitable for use at the range.
4.3. The use of tracers, armor-piercing rounds, or any ammunition not approved by the range is prohibited.
4.4. Rental firearms must be returned clean and in good condition. Damages caused by misuse may result in charges.
5. Liability and Compliance
5.1. Hunters Target Sports is not responsible for personal property lost, stolen, or damaged on the premises.
5.2. All users are responsible for their own safety and the safety of others when using the range.
5.3. Violation of these terms may result in suspension or permanent banning from the range without a refund.
5.4. Users must comply with all applicable laws, including the Firearms Act.
6. Booking and Payments
6.1. Range bookings are subject to availability and must be paid in full at the time of reservation.
6.2. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance.
7. Emergency Procedures
7.1. In case of an emergency, shooters must immediately cease fire and follow the instructions of the RCO.
7.2. Report any injuries, incidents, or malfunctions to the RCO or staff immediately.

These terms and conditions establish the legal framework under which Hunters Target Sports operates the shooting range and governs the relationship between the shooting range and its users.
1. Definitions
1.1. Hunters Target Sports: Refers to the operator of the shooting range located at Hunters Holme.
1.2. User: Any person accessing and using the facilities, including members and non-members.
1.3. RCO: Range Conducting Officer, responsible for supervising activities on the range.
1.4. Section 21 Declaration: A legal declaration confirming the user is not prohibited from handling firearms under the Firearms Act 1968 (Section 21).
2. Compliance with Laws
2.1. Users must comply with all applicable UK laws and regulations, including the Firearms Act 1968 and subsequent amendments.
2.2. Users are required to complete and sign a Section 21 Declaration and provide valid identification before accessing the range.
3. Eligibility to Use the Range
3.1. Users must be at least 18 years old to handle firearms unless participating in supervised activities allowed by law.
3.2. Users must not be prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition under Section 21 of the Firearms Act.
3.3. Non-members and probationary members must be supervised by an RCO at all times.
4. Safety Rules and Range Conduct
4.1. Firearms must be unloaded, flagged, and safely transported between the armory and range.
4.2. All users must participate in a safety briefing before range use.
4.3. Users must follow the instructions of the RCO at all times. Failure to comply may result in immediate removal from the range.
4.4. The use of calibers above .23 is strictly prohibited.
4.5. Personal firearms and ammunition must comply with range policies and UK law.
5. Liability and Waivers
5.1. By using the range, users assume all risks associated with shooting activities, including the use of firearms, ammunition, and equipment.
5.2. Hunters Target Sports is not liable for personal injuries, property damage, or loss incurred while using the facilities unless caused by gross negligence.
5.3. Users agree to indemnify Hunters Target Sports against any claims arising from their actions, including violations of these terms or applicable laws.
6. Membership and Access
6.1. Memberships are non-transferable and subject to annual renewal.
6.2. Non-members may use the range during designated hours but must comply with additional requirements, including ID checks and supervised access.
6.3. Hunters Target Sports reserves the right to revoke access or terminate memberships for violations of these terms.
7. Booking and Payments
7.1. Range fees must be paid in full at the time of booking or before access.
7.2. No refunds for no-shows or cancellations made less than 24 hours before the reserved time.
7.3. Any damages caused to the range facilities or equipment by the user may result in additional charges.
8. Emergency Procedures
8.1. In the event of an emergency, users must cease fire immediately and follow the instructions of the RCO or designated staff.
8.2. All injuries, incidents, or firearm malfunctions must be reported to the RCO immediately.
9. Prohibited Activities
9.1. Intoxication or use of alcohol or drugs while on the premises is strictly forbidden.
9.2. Users may not engage in horseplay, aggressive behavior, or any action that endangers others.
9.3. The use of unauthorized ammunition, including tracers or armor-piercing rounds, is prohibited.
10. Data Protection
10.1. Personal information collected for membership, Section 21 Declarations, and range use will be stored securely and used in compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018.
11. Amendments and Enforcement
11.1. Hunters Target Sports reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.
11.2. Violations of these terms may result in removal from the premises, revocation of access, or legal action as deemed appropriate.
